The best 2010 Wimbledon bets are going to be hard to pick this year but there’s a lot of money to be made at the sportsbooks. There is no single tennis player in any division who is sure to dominate. Tennis fans appear to be leaning towards Roger Federer taking the title this year but he does not have an easy road ahead.
This year’s Wimbledon also presents plenty of interesting underdog betting opportunities. Andy Murray and Andy Roddick, for example, are looking better than ever. Nadal and Federer are still the safest bets but it’s not too far fetched to imagine a new Wimbledon champion this year.
All the major tennis betting sites will be accepting 2010 Wimbledon bets so it’s time to start doing your research and finalizing your tennis picks. As always, the key to successfully betting on the 2010 Wimbledon is to do your research and keep up to date on all tennis news. The best 2010 Wimbledon bets can be found with a little work, a little luck and a little help from us here at BettingTennis.net.
2010 Wimbledon Predictions
The 2009 Wimbledon defending champion Roger Federer never disappoints but he’s had a few tough matches recently. He isn’t getting any younger but it’s still way too early to totally discount a Federer win. Rafael Nadal excels on clay courts but he is looking stronger than ever this year despite past injuries. Nadal has shown he can make it happen on grass courts too so he is definitely in contention this year.
One the women’s side, 2010 Wimbledon predictions are all over the place. We’ve got both the Williams sisters hungry for that Wimbledon title, a healed Maria Sharapova ready to rock again and a super-determined Kim Clijsters. It was Clijsters who shocked the tennis world last year by making a comeback and becoming the first mother since 1980 to win a Grand Slam event.
In even more exciting news, women’s tennis beauty Anna Kournikova announced she’ll be making a comeback at the 2010 Wimbledon after retiring in 2003. She’ll be playing in the women’s doubles event alongside Martina Hingis, who is also returning from retirement. Although definitely underdogs, both players present an interesting underdog bet – but not one that we would recommend for any serious amount.
Our 2010 Wimbledon betting content is coming soon. Once the draws are announced, this page will have our 2010 Wimbledon picks, odds and our favorite underdog bets. If you’re interested, the Bodog Sportsbook is currently offering Wimbledon futures bets.
With the 2010 French Open already come and gone, this year is already an interesting one. Rafael Nadal is getting healthy and playing well again, and Roger Federer is a six time winner at Wimbledon. Since 2003, Roger Federer has made the finals every year, with his only loss to Rafael Nadal in 2008.
Unlike past years however, men’s tennis isn’t totally dominated by Federer and Nadal anymore. Some other players have a chance to win as well, offering up some interesting underdog bets. In the coming days we’ll post some of our favorite futures bets for the 2010 Wimbledon tournament.
The women’s side of the draw is wide open. The Williams sisters haven’t been playing well recently, but can never be counted out of a major. Justine Henin is playing well and if she can win the French, here confidence will be sky high. Kim Clijsters & Sam Stosur have been looking good lately as well, and 3-4 others could take down the 2010 Wimbledon title as well. We’ll also be doing some more in-depth research in the following days, providing free futures bets for the women’s side of the 2010 Wimbledon tournament.
